Edward Celata’s hybrid skill set blends digital media, marketing technology and social commerce innovation. His unique perspective, coupled with a passion for driving market-defining solutions, creates strategic paths to success for brands, platforms and users.
His experience includes serving as Senior Vice President – Head of Community & Growth at Nogle Venture Studio’s STYLE.ME. He established a decentralized Social Shopping Discovery App and peer to peer rewarded digital content creation model. His responsibilities included; a revolutionary virtual fitting solution and styling platform, that allows shoppers to customize their own 3-D avatar, to create looks and virtually try-on outfits.
Edward has served as Vice President at rewardStyle, the largest invitation-only, end-to-end content monetization platform, for top-tier digital style Influencers. During his tenure, the company launched LIKEtoKNOW.it, a shopping discovery app that allows consumers to instantly purchase from their favorite Influencers. This cutting edge tool defines the market for lucrative and effective Influencer collaborations. All combined, these technologies drive over $1 Billion in annual Gross Merchandise V alue.
He served as Fashion, Retail and Home Design Advertising Sales Director at The New York Times, NYT.com and T Magazine. Edward built value for this world-class organization as Director of Business Development for The R&D Ventures Group, the commercial arm of the in-house tech think tank. The team’s futurist mission looked beyond the next product cycle, and identified trends and technologies that would emerge in the mid-term; three to five years.
Edward sits on several Advisory Boards and lends his experience and vision to social commerce incubators. The early foundation of his career included senior marketing roles at Esquire, Bon Appetite, Men’s Health and Vogue Magazines. Edward is an alumnus of New York University with a degree in Communications. He resides in New York City and Palm Beach, Florida.
